Manish Kumar, the visionary behind Sukoon Ki Baat, comes from a small town in Bihar. His connection with words began during his college years, where he found comfort in expressing his thoughts and real-life experiences through Hindi poetry. For many years, his poems stayed close to his heart not because of hesitation, but simply because he was unaware that a world existed where people truly value and celebrate poetry.
Life took a new turn when Manish moved to Delhi NCR for his corporate career. There, he discovered an inspiring community of poets and performers. Attending his first mushaira in 2020 became a life-changing moment, it was his first real glimpse into the magic of poetry, the passion of performers, and the love audiences hold for this beautiful art form. That day sparked a deeper purpose within him to follow poetry not just as a personal passion, but as a lifelong journey.
Over time, Manish immersed himself in the world of literature, listening to and learning from some of the most celebrated poets across India and beyond. Yet, his dream extended beyond his own growth. He wanted to create a space where emerging poets and writers could express themselves freely and be heard.
This dream led to the creation of “Sukoon Ki Baat” a platform that encourages, supports, and celebrates the voices of writers and performers. Through online and offline events, Sukoon Ki Baat provides an open stage for creativity, helping people connect, share, and find peace (sukoon) through words.
Today, Manish continues to merge his poetic heart with an entrepreneurial mindset, building a community that believes in the transformative power of storytelling and self-expression.
